The ONE-STEP UP project is an innovative initiative designed to help low-skilled adult learners in Europe re-engage with education and training through micro-learning. This approach aims to make adult education more accessible and flexible, encouraging participation. Many adults are at risk of social exclusion due to their limited involvement in lifelong learning and often have little access to educational opportunities.
Partners from Lithuania, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, France, Ireland, Poland, and Portugal are collaborating with adult educators and low-skilled adults to enhance their knowledge and skills, which can help improve their economic and social well-being. By investing in the education of low-skilled adults, societies can achieve a more skilled workforce, promote economic growth, and encourage social cohesion.
The project includes various learning materials, such as the Educators’ Toolbox of Micros-Learning Resources, an Adult Educators’ Handbook, Professional Development Training for Educators, a ONE-STEP UP MOOC, and a Policy and Practice Recommendations Report to guide policymakers and practitioners across Europe.
