Erasmus+ project “E-Steam on the Cloud” in Spain, Romania, Lithuania, Belgium and Italy
The ESOC project focuses on E-STEAM, highlighting digital learning methods in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. This may include online platforms for training, digital tools like simulations, and communities for educators to share knowledge.
A key goal is to address gender sterotypes in STEAM. This involves raising awareness among teachers about these biases, providing strategies to challenge them, promoting inclusive teaching methods, and showcasing women’s contributions in STEAM. Activities will be designes to counter seterotypes and encourage girls’ participation.
The project aims to develop an online training program for educators, featuring modular content on gender stereotypes, interactive elements like quizzes, resources for classrooms, and assessment methods for recognizing participation.
From a behavioral science perspective, the program will use psychological principles to create effective interventions, collect and analyze data on the training’s impact, and refine materials based on feedback.
The ultimate aim is to boost female students’ interest in STEAM fields by creating welcoming environments, challenging male. Dominated perceptions, and empowering girls in these areas. The involvement of partners from various European countries will support resource sharing and build a network for promoting gender equality in STEAM.
