The SDGs Tacker Toolkit project, funded by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ program, aimed to engage and empower young people as active agents of change for the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The project recognized the important role of youth in shaping the future and focused on providing them with the knowledge, skills, and motivation needed to support the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The project also aimed to foster active citizenship by encouraging youth to identify challenges and take meaningful action in their communities.
Additionally, the project sought to develop practical skills necessary for engaging with the SDGs, including critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, project, management, and digital literacy. The project emphasized that the SDGs are interconnected and promoted a holistic view of sustainability across various aspects of life.
A key output of the project was the "SDGs Tacker YOUTH Toolkit"

The toolkit included informative guides, interactive activities, case studies, templates for planning projects, and digital resources.
Alongside the toolkit, the project organized training sessions for youth. These sessions aimed to introduce the SDGs and the toolkit, deepen engagement with specific goals, develop necessary skills, and foster collaboration among young changemakers. The sessions used participatory methods such as workshops, discussions, and project-based learning.
The European Laboratory on Training, Education and Citizenship in Italy coordinated the project, and funding from the European Commission was crucial for its activities. Although the project concluded in September 2023, its impact is expected to last. The toolkit provides a valuable resource for young people and educators interested in sustainability, contributing to a knowledgeable and motivated generation ready to take the challenges of the 2030 Agenda. Overall, the SDGs Tacker Toolkit project aimed to empower youth with the tools to actively participate in creating a more sustainable future.
