Erasmus+ project “WeGrow” in Cyprus, Lithuania, Slovakia and Italy.
The Erasmus+ project WeGROW aims to help people youth professionals, such as youth workers and mentors, ensure social inclusion for all young people. As European society changes, social skills become essential for inclusion, affecting both youth workers and the youth people they serve.
WeGROW addresses the need fro youth professionals’ continuous development, focusing on imporving Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and social skills in young people who struggle in shcoolor are not engaged in education or work (NEETs). The project seeks to create non-formal tools and methods that appeal to these young indiviudals, who may not be comfrotable in formal educational settings.
OBJECTIVE
The project objectives include promoting the development of EQ in youth with low school performance, enhancing youth workers’ skills and methodologies to better support these young individuals, and providing a coaching program for youth organizations focused on self-awareness and emotions. Additionally, the project aims to create an open European e-platform to share best practices and raise awareness of EQ.
The project will involve 15 youth professionals in joint training and 15 young people in local pilot training. It will also include 130 stakeholders and 45 participants with fewer opportunities.
Key results will include a methodological toolkit for youth workers, an EQ curriculum with innovative training modules, and an e-learning platform to support disadvantaged youth. The project intends to equip youth professionals with practical tools to enhance young people’s school performance and employment opportunities. Long-term, it seeks to strengthen the international impact and recognition of youth work.
